So excited about my stingray experience I decided my new obsession , get down to the beach early . Sure enough ,next morning I get there, maybe not 5-30 this time, but early enough . This time we walk for a bit then come upon a really big Heron standing by the waters edge, looking for breakfast in the water . As we walk towards him he would fly thirty or forty feet down the beach . This went on for a while , we walk , he flies , then suddenly we notice we,re joined by another Heron that lands behind us . So now we have Herons on both sides of us  , big ones ! Doing Tai Chi stances .   Another lovely morning .     Driving back to the house we stop at a junction and as we move away something flies into the car . I notice it out of the corner of my eye but not sure what it is . As we accelerate I look down to see a hornet on my chest and before I can scream I feel this stinger going in .I manage to flip it off but not before I feel the telltale warmth of a sting . As i,ve said before , it,s all in the timing ! Sometimes good , sometimes , not so good .  I survived , but i,m sure there was a message in the days events . I,ll get back to you with the messages . 

sunrise

While in Florida we got up one morning at 5-30 ish to watch the sunrise from the beach. Took a bit of ''boot camp tactics '' to get my team up but once we got there it was well worth it .  Sunrise is lovely anywhere but there's something magical about seeing it from the waters edge, I can only imagine the other most special place would be from the top of a mountain .  We watched it rise  then started walking along side the water, after a few minutes we were joined by four stingray , a mom and three babies all in a row , they slowly glided along side us for about five minutes before we turned around . incredible !!!          While i,m still enjoying my experience I look back at the water to see a baby shark swim by , about four feet long , swimming in the same shallows . amazing , beautiful morning .   The saying really is true ,,  the early bird does get the stingray , shark , whatever !!!  

florida

Back from my wonderful trip to Florida . I travelled on the day of the solar eclipse , did,nt see anything but certainly felt its presence . The age old saying , just because you dont see something does,nt mean its not there . Had a perfect scenario , we left the freeway to drive our scenic route in Pensacola. Got to the waters edge to see this massive traffic jam and the first bridge we love to cross was completely backed up . We could see the cars from one end to the other . The police were at the start of the bridge and diverted us back up to the freeway . We were at the start of the bridge and could see the other side beckoning but obstacles stopped us from getting there!!   This really is our favourite part of the journey so we,re determined to get there , we got to the freeway and came down the next exit , everyone had the same plan but it was well worth the wait . As we always say  , life is wonderful when it all goes well , once we have obstacles we learn who we really are . Get to the other side of the bridge !!
